India Resort Fashion Week 2011

Indian Fashion Industry has been monotone showcasing la conventional or extreme western attires for couple of decades. Imtiaz Khatri, CEO of INK Infrastructure broke la ennui et brought India Resort Fashion Week 2011, that showcased resort and cruise wear from 7th to 11th December 2011 at Grand Hyatt Goa.

La fashion week was though named India Resort Fashion Week, had mostly garments that would be apt for perchance a beach wedding. Aarti Vijay Gupta reminded us of the Roman era avec her unique head-gears, while Ken Ferns gave us a glimpse of a picture perfect winter that is now lost from our planet.

Other designers who did noticeable mettant en vedette include Narendra Kumar Ahmed who showcased a real casual et beach-wear collection that took la ramp on fire. Pria Kataria Puri had her own unique designs avec flowy et rusé sleeves of la attires, apt à l’usure while on a cruise.

La brands like Provogue too left a presence by showcasing their newest collection, while Bracialeto did their présence de charme felt by displaying their jewelries. Shantanu & Nikhil were perchance la only one who had swimsuits et shorts, a feel of bare men in bright contrasting tones, neon bright et palette of sun warmed hues.

La grand finale was réalisée by everyone’s favourite Manish Malhotra who had sheer kurtas avec bikini tops, cropped pants in ivory, fushia pink, amber, steel grey et la likes. La accessoire of a saree – apt attire for any beach wedding is what stole la show that was followed by la beach festival for two days at Marbela Beach in Goa.

La title sponsor jeunes et beaux Imtiaz Khatri who was spotted in every show in la front row explained that a major trend that was spotted on la runaway was bright colours. “Sexiness was brought back through saree et translucent cholis avec very minimal work. In our nation, it is humid throughout la year et la collection shown by most designers is a perfect blend of fashion et comfort,” signed off Khatri.

Khatri révèle supposément next season that might have provisions for GEN Next et emerging categories too to give space for young talents. So, la nation has to linger for la next winter before they see bare bodies in stylish rasé clothes…
