Sophia College’s Annual Fashion Show, Tvashar 2012 showcased an assortment of 27 all-new creative designers. Vogue+ Correspondents Madhura Sansare & Himanshu Pandey delves into the glamorous event…

Hailing from the newest batch of graduating students of the coveted institute, these 27 designers are apt at their technique and novel at their approach. Themed ‘Culture of India’, the collection was dedicated to promote dying art forms of the nation. The aspiring designers merged the essence of different lands and their own creativity to fashion garments that were visually stunning, incredibly innovative and unmistakably modern.

A massive number of prominent celebrities like Mandira Bedi, Aditi Gowitrikar, Ashmit Patel, Swapnil Shinde, Archana Kochhar, Sandeep Soparkar, VJ Ramona, Vinod Nair, Siddharth Kher, Shraddha Das, Miss Malini, Leena Mogre and Nisha Merchant were present to inspire and support these new talentsModels like Aanchal Kumar, Adam Bedi, Shamita Singha, Sandhya Shetty, Chahat Sabaji along with the beautiful get-gorgeous winner Iris Maity, sizzled la rampe avec students’ creations and the show was choreographed by Nisha Harale.

‘Vistas of Eternity – Ladakh’ was the winning collection of the year.
