Day 2 of LFW S/R’12 culminated with Bibhu’s international designs…

The second day started with Komal Sood’s Joie de Vivre that took inspiration from vibrant celebrations of Holi and Pia Pauro’s designs with Midas touch. Suhani Pittie’s designs had delicate leaves, entwining vines, roses, peacocks and the likes while Payal Khandwala took inspiration from abstractions. Nimish Shah reinvented kids wear with summer attires.

Bhairavi Jaikishan had a melange of colours like yellow, pink, red and likes for her conventional sarees, lehengas. There were lots of bling, 3D embroidery on borders and lots of bling. Pranav Mishra and Shyma Shett at Talent Box were quite impressive with their novel designs.

Mineral presented Priyadarshini Rao who took the runaway with a melange of colours, the likes of light green, pep orange, earthy hues, and floral prints. Some of the quirky props brought back were big glasses, leather belts, and side sling bags. There were flowing gowns with crushed look, modernity blended with most conventional designs.

Disney presented the memories of Minnie & Mickey Mouse by Little Shilpa and NItin Bal Chauhan where they portrayed a tale through their ensembles. Little Shilpa played with drapes while Nitin used acid wash denims with leather, canvas, fibre glass, acrylic, wires, and metallic gauzes.

Bibhu Mohapatra culminated the day with his most cosmopolitan designs coming from the background of styling most Hollywood stars. The silhouettes were so international, recalled his styling for Hollywood celebrities. All in one, Mohapatra reviewed the fading second day of the fashion week with premium chic designs that gave us a global feel.
