Corralejo Tequila (Mexico) organised the 1st Corralejo Teqnicians Mixology Challenge 2012 in association with celebrity sommelier Magandeep Singh, the Wi-Not team, and Indian representative Two Friends. Prelims for Corralejo Teqnicians Mixology Challenge 2012 were held in 5 cities across India – New Delhi, Pune, Mumbai, Chennai, and Kolkata where bartenders and mixologists from various hotels and restaurants participated and presented some tricks of their trade. The prelims at Mumbai were held on the 21st of March at Gadda da Vida at Novotel Hotel in Juhu and were judged by sommelier Magandeep Singh, Travel Trade and Hospitality Writer, Bhisham Mansukhani and the first woman mixologist of India, Shatbhi Basu.

The finalists chosen from each city will spar in the grand finale which will be held in New Delhi on the 9th of April 2012. Adding glamour to the occasion, the ravishing Corralejo Brand Ambassador, Ms. Mexico; Ms. Elisa Najera will join the team in the final event and later join the co-sponsoring hotels in participating cities for a fabulous gala party.

The First Corralejo Tequila TEQNICIAN will not only win a trip to visit the Corralejo distillery in Mexico but will also have his prize-winning recipe featured in the Corralejo Teqnic Book, which will be launched on this occasion by Ms. Mexico Elisa Najera and His Excellency, Mr. Jaime Nualart, The Ambassador of Mexico in India, who would be a part of the judging panel for the finale.
