Globus presents their all-new Spring Summer Collection 2012

Globus introduces one of this season’s coolest and the most chic Spring Summer Collection 2012, in an exclusive preview with celebrities, models and television stars. Vogue+ Correspondents Mansi Vakharia and Anita Balsare divulge in the details of the glamorous event…

Globus’ Spring Summer 2012 Collection has an array of diverse and individual looks. On one end of the spectrum there is continuation of comfort & minimalism and on the other end there is a walk through the past, especially the 1970’s. The colours for Globus Spring Sumer 2012 Collection are optimistic but yet contemplative.

This New Collection has been inspired by 30 different styles like Copacabana, with focus on the 1970’s making reference to world’s most renowned beaches during their heydays. Patterned dresses, Jersey jump suits, striped jersey tailor tops, knee length skirts, fruit print dresses and bikini tops, khaki’s & chinos constitute the collection. The other inspirations include Chroma Light, Psychobilly Rebels, Marrakech Souk, White Sensation, Summer of Love, to name a few.

The Indian wear of the new Spring Summer Collection draws its inspiration from the classic Banithani paintings of Rajasthan. The collection is made of fine cotton with colourful paisley prints decorated with intricate cut work, comprising of tunics and dresses. Kurtas made of an Ombre fabric combined with solid strips and floral embroidery; exemplify the mystique and culture of India. The other inspirations under the ethnic wear range consist of Fairy Tales, Future Trousseau, Summer in Venice, and Urban Nomad to name a few.

The fashion show consisted of four sequences: Casual Wear, Club Wear, Ethnic wear and the Finale. The show-stoppers of the event were renowned actor Jay Soni and actress Pooja Gaur. Guests present for the launch of the Spring Summer Collection of Globus included Karishma Tanna, Hanif Hilal, Aryan Vaid, Navina Bole, Ashita Dhavan and Maradona Rebello to name a few.

The spring summer collection runs across floral and summer whites in the womens wear with the main themes of colour blocking interplayed with a black and white club collection and in our mens wear collection we have exciting checks, stripes and coloured denims” revealed Russ Baker, President-Offer Management.

The New Spring Summer Collection will be available across all stores of Globus.
