Veteran Models to parade Delhi Couture Week’s runaway…

The Delhi Couture Week 2012 is scheduled to begin from August 8 and continue till August 12, 2012, at Hotel Taj Palace New Delhi, with a new twist this year.

The Fashion Design Council of India (FDCI) has made a conscious choice to showcase most of the collections through top Indian models this time. The ‘Indian’ charm and the ethnic flavour of the Couture Week will be represented through 25 Indian models and others of foreign origin out of the 32 high profile models shortlisted to scorch the ramp this season.

Some of the showcasing designers will be using 30-40 models for their show, based on their theme and presentation.

The complete model list includes Carol Gracias, Lakshmi Rana, Nayanika Chatterjee, Michelle Innes, Tina Chhatwal, Sapna Kumar, Sonalika Sahay, Rachel Bayros, Jesse Randhawa, Pia Trivedi, Krishna Somani, Shriya Kishrore, Manasvi Mamgain, Talia Benston, Tara Kurian, Kiran Rao, Rikee Chatterjee, Donna Masih, Ekta Badana, Binal Trivedi, Preeti Dhata, Margarita Paladagu, Lekha, Chandni and Nidhi Sunil.

Among the international faces Marcela Anabel Gomez, Khrystyna, Olga Torovik, Darya, Klaudia Kovacova, Olga Plotnikova and Mila promise to showcase the designs in perfect style and finesse.

The shows of the PCJ Delhi Couture Week will be choreographed by Media Makers, Preferred Professionals and Harmeet Bajaj.
